Fiber Optics Engineer
Linden Photonics is looking for a Fiber Optics Engineer to help grow and commercialize the products of a self-funded,
small company that has developed Speciality Optical Cables for ROVs. Linden specializes in fiber optics and using
novel extrusion/molding techniques for thermoplastics, Linden focuses on military and other harsh environment markets.
We are currently searching for a full time employee to fill an important position in this growing small business.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and project management. This position will be largely
responsible for handling the management and execution of a 2+ year contract to develop a specialty product.
Job duties will include product development, managing a network of subcontractors, and successful commercialization
of the finished product. Additional job duties will include growing the commercial side of our business and may
include some technical sales and a small amount of travel.
5 to 10 years experience in manufacturing and a BS in an engineering or equivalent technical degree is desired.
Knowledge/experience in fiber optics is very useful. Experience with setting up procedures and processes for a growing
manufacturing operation will be an asset. Must display entrepreneurial qualities and have a proven record of analytically
solving specific engineering problems. This ideal candidate would also be able to assist us in managing our growing
commercial fiber optic cable business.
